Rutgers Receives $13 Million From the NJEDA to Pilot Hydrogen Trucks

Rutgers is driving clean transportation forward! Thanks to a $13 million NJEDA grant, Rutgers Center for Advanced Infrastructure and Transportation will pilot six hydrogen-powered Hyundai XCIENT trucks at Port Newark.
These zero-emission vehicles will help reduce greenhouse gases while supporting research, workforce development, and innovation in NJ’s freight sector.
This project positions the state as a leader in sustainable logistics and hydrogen technology.
